On December 14, 1987, Jacqueline Fowler, a Kentucky teacher lost her appeal in the US Supreme Court over her getting fired because she showed Pink Floyd’s film The Wall to her class. The US Supreme Court ruled that the film was not suitable for minors due to its bad language and sexual content.
Pink Floyd The Wall movie was not screened by Fowler before showing it. It was supposed to be an end-of-school-year treat for the students. She relied on the kids’ judgement about the movie.
