Love Me Do
Uncut Sheet of 45rpm Labels
These labels were originally printed by a subcontractor hired by Capitol records. The subcontractor would print the colored swirls and ship the labels to the record pressing plant where the orders would be filled, then the labels would receive their black text and finally get pressed onto records. Here we have a sheet of uncut labels used as a test sheet for the original pressing of Love Me Do. These test sheets were printed to make sure the text lined up correctly before pressing the labels onto records. They were usually discarded after the pressing was completed making them a very rare piece of Beatles history!
