Michael Motorcycle is an illustrator and screenprinter of rock posters. He first tried his hand at screenprinting in a high school graphic arts class. “For several years I made my own screens with stapled mesh stretched onto handmade frames. I hated screenprinting for years until I took a course at a local college.” 

Michael spent most of his 20’s working as a nightclub/concert promoter which led to making rock posters for the LA based concert promotion company Goldenvoice Presents.

In the high school printing class he was taught rudimentary skills which he honed in a screenprinting course at his local junior college. Teaching assistant John Miner, an accomplished rock poster printer, taught him the ins and outs of printing on paper.

Since the college course, Michael has set up a studio in his Pasadena home where he designs and prints his own work.

Michael’s clients include: All Tomorrow’s Parties Presents, the Hollywood Bowl, and Goldenvoice Presents. He has exhibited his work throughout the US and Europe. His work has been published in many books and magazines including The Art Of Modern Rock.
